1Do you have an elevator?

We do not have an elevator. Ours is a monumental building with old fashion narrow and steep Dutch stairs, all the way up to the third floor.

2How many people are in my room?

The size of our rooms are of 6, 12, 16, 20

3Does the bar serve food/breakfast?

Our kitchen is undergoing maintenance. However we do offer a breakfast deal to our hostel guests

4How many bathrooms do you have?

Our hostel has a total of 4 large shared bathrooms

5Is the hostel noisy at night?

We are located in the very center of Amsterdam which might get noisy at times. However we do offer free ear plugs at reception

6What would you recommend to do in the area?

Have a walk through the Red Light District, Museums, Canal Tours, Restaurants(Lolo, Fiona, Dal Pagliaccio) and more. Just ask at reception

7Are your dorms mixed?

All our dormitories are gender neutral. We have been nominated as one of the most  LGBTQ friendly hostels in Europe 

8Can I request a specific bed?

We do not allow bed requests as it will depend on the availability of the day. However we might make an exception for those with medical conditions(documented)

9Can I smoke/vape/drink in the hostel?

Smoking and vaping are not allowed. Everyone is very welcome to drink in our famous Durty Nelly’s Irish Pub on the ground floor

10Can I bring my child?

All our guests must be at list 18 years old

11Is there an age limit in the hostel?

We have a strict age limit. We only allow guests between 18 and 40 years old

12Can I bring guests up to my room?

Only registered guests can have access to the hostel. Family and friends are more then welcome to wait in the lobby or to have a refreshing drink in our famous Durty Nelly’s Irish Pub on the ground floor 

13What is the difference between the capsule bed dormitory and the standard bunk bed dormitory?

Although the dormitories are shared, the capsule beds offer a much more private experience and better sound insulation. The standard bunk beds are out in the open with no separation between beds. Both capsule and standard bunk beds can accommodate 1 person only

14Is there somewhere I can leave my bike while I stay at the hostel?

Only foldable bikes are allowed in the hostel so long as they fit in the provided lockers. However there’s a secure underground bike parking area 1 minute walk away.

15What time can I check in/out?

Check in is at anytime after 2 pm, check out is at anytime before 11 am

16Do I need to bring my own towel?

One can bring their own towel, however we do have towels available at reception if needed

17Can I store my luggage before I check in?

We have lockers available before check-in and after check-out. Small lockers are 40c per hour or €2 for the day. Large lockers are 80c per hour or €4 for the day.

18Are you showing any football/rugby match/sport events?

Most sport events will be showed in our famous Durty Nelly’s Irish Pub on the ground floor 

19Can I rent a bike at the hostel or buy tickets for attractions?

Yes, we do offer such service at reception
